The exhibiton of nations lasted from 1 May to 31 October.
With an area covering over 2,000 m², Malaysia underscored its motto „Towards a Sustainable Food Ecosystem“ in accordance with the national aim to pursue the economical development of the country based on ecological reason. As a symbol of growth, the seed was selected, the shape of which determined the architecture of the pavilion. The structurally complex form of the “seeds”, as the four buildings of the pavilion were called, also aimed to showcase Malaysia‘s capabilities in terms of design and innovative materials.
Inside the buildings the visitors could learn about different aspects of Malaysia, such as the multi-cultural society, the national transforming process and Malaysia’s rich culture.
