Malaysia will be participating in Hannover Messe to be held from 23. – 27. April. The Country Pavilion is being organised by MATRADE, Malaysia’s Trade Development Corporation.
16 Malaysian companies will be showcasing their products and services in Hall 5 F48 and Hall 16 F03. “Our Malaysian exhibitors will be offering industrial automation, precision engineering and moulding, customised transformers, bus duct systems, software and web technologies as well as stamping and ODM/OEM services, just to name a few”, says Badrul Hisham Hilal, head of MATRADE Frankfurt.
Exports of machinery, equipment and components from Malaysia to Germany increased from € 930 million in 2010 to €1.22 billion in 2016. During the first 11 months of 2017 exports rose again substantially by 36.5% and were valued at € 1.48 billion. Malaysia is currently the 20th largest source of machinery products to Germany.
The outlook for the European machinery market up to 2021 is positive and expected to rise by 15%-20% to € 40 billion. Malaysian exports are expected to follow this trend.
Malaysia’s participation in the event will highlight its strong manufacturing and servicing potential in the fields of machinery and industrial technology.
